Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect when you play Are You Good? Are You Smart? (“the game”, “we”), and how we use it. We keep it to the minimum needed to run the game.

What we collect

• Guest ID. When you first visit, we create a random anonymous ID in your browser so your results and streak are saved. It isn't linked to your name.
• Play results. For each day: which puzzle and dilemma you played, whether you were correct, your time, mistakes, the choices you made, and your rankings.
• Email or sign-in account (optional). If you choose to save your streak with Google, Apple or an email link, we store your email address and the basic profile details that provider shares (such as your name) to identify your account.
• Share taps. We count when you tap “Share my results” (not what or where you shared).
• Basic technical data like browser type and timestamps, which our hosting provider logs to keep the service secure and working.

How we use it

• To run the game, calculate rankings and show how everyone answered (always as totals, never by name).
• To keep your streak and history, and move it to your account if you sign in.
• To understand overall usage (e.g. daily player counts) and improve the game.
• To send the sign-in link you ask for. We don't send marketing emails.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, show ads based on it, or share your individual answers with other players.

Storage and service providers

Data is stored with our cloud hosting and database provider, which processes it on our behalf. Sign-in with Google or Apple is handled by those companies under their own privacy policies.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in, remember your guest ID and remember small preferences (like dismissing a tip). We don't use advertising cookies.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep play results while the game runs. You can ask us to delete your account and results at any time by contacting us, and we'll do so within 30 days.

Children

The game isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data. Contact us to make a request.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
